And That Will I Seek

Writing this week’s blog has been more like a tooth extraction at the dentist’s office than Open your mouth wide and I will fill it. [i]

There’s been no freely you have received, freely give exchange going on in me as far as I can tell.[ii] No siree! It’s been forceps and probes all the way. Still, nothing has come of it but a mouthful of gauze and words on a page that feel antiseptic and uninspiring. Ugh!

That tells me it’s time to cut back on speaking and do some more gazing and inquiring. One thing have I asked of the LORD, that will I seek after: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD and to inquire in his temple. [iii]

So, I’ve decided to take a short break from writing blogs. I thank you all for taking the time to read them, and for your many words of encouragement. You have blessed me more than you know!

Lord willing, we will reconnect soon.
