Resurrection Power

. . . be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. John 16:33

This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. 1 John 5:4

Jesus,

Thank You for bearing our sins on the cross. For taking upon Yourself the punishment we deserve. For dying our death. Thank You for resurrecting from the grave, victorious over sin and death.

Thank You for sharing Your resurrection power with us so we too can overcome:

Power to live in a dying world

Power to overcome what defeats others

Power to see what others can’t

Power to increase in a world that is decreasing

Power to give in a world that takes

Power to forgive when others condemn

Power to set free what the enemy binds

Power to make peace in the midst of war

Power to build while the enemy tears down

Power to heal while others wound

Power to love in a world that hates
